Folk Fest!

I have been invited to show my work at the Yee Haw booth this year!  Julie will have a nice large booth at Folk Fest 2011 with a wonderful space full of  amazing artwork by the talented Yee Haw Industries artists.   Yee Haw will be offering a tasty sampling of a few of their favorite southern artists in the gallery (including yours truly).   Come on over and give us a big Howdy!

For a peek into Yee Haw Industries process of art-makin’ go to: http://www.yeehawindustries.com/process.html

I will be there for the “Meet the Artist” Opening Night Party on Friday evening from 5-10PM.  Come out and meet your favorite artists &  see some astounding artworks.  Admission for opening night festivities is $15, and that gets you in for the Friday night soiree along with re-admission on Sat and Sun.

If you have never made it out to Folk Fest before,  I highly recommend a trip to this once a year event.  It features 100 galleries & dealers from around the country specializing in Self-taught Art, Outsider Art, and Folk Art.

Decatur Arts Festival

I’ll be showing my work at Wild Oats in downtown Decatur this weekend during the Decatur Ats Festival.   I am doing a trunk show at the gallery instead of having an outdoor booth at the festival. What does this mean? It means air conditioning, clean bathrooms, nice lighting, good music…need I go on?  Come to see me Friday night (Artwalk) 5-10P & then all weekend during the regular festival hours on Sat 10-6  &  Sun 11-6.

Wild Oats location: 112 E Ponce De Leon Ave (in the old By Hand South space).
