Very exciting! I’ve created a new group of paintings for the exhibition “Visual Conversations” at the Atlanta Central Library-Gallery. The paintings are based on the idea of spontaneous dialog, color, and abstraction. The nine piece group is titled “Speaking in Tongues”. Each individual piece title is a play on an exchange of thoughts/conversations: Banter, Brouhaha, Ballyhoo, Commentary, Conversation, Communication, Dialog, Diatribe, and Discussion. These paintings are a combination of acrylic paint & silk-screened enamel on wood. Duality and symmetry are expressed through the silk-screened ghost inkblots that are the central element of each painting.
These pieces are part of a group exhibition with 8 other artists of The Atlanta Critique Group. The show features painting and photography. There are some amazing works created by a group of exceptionally talented artists. http://www.atlcritiquegroup.com/
