jeanneflint-trioIt’s just about time for the 8th annual Student & Instructor Jewelry Market.  Come join us on Sunday, Feb 12th (one day only) at the Spruill Center for the Arts. Hours are 11am-5pm at 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd 30338.

The market will showcase beginning to professional level jewelry artists selling their unique handcrafted jewelry to the public.  I’ll be showing in the instructor room, along side the other talented instructors.  You’ll find diverse jewelry styles in precious metals, glass, beads, gemstones at prices to fit every budget, and admission is free! New this year: Glass Blowing demonstrations and short classes for all ages!

Art at The Atlanta History Center!

tullie_smith_farm_interior_blacksmith_shopJust around the corner-The Fall Folklife Festival at the Atlanta History Center. Come join in the fun on Saturday, Sep 17th. It runs from 10:30am-4:30pm (preview for AHS members begins at 9:30am).

The festival is set up around the historic Smith Family Farm and provides the beautiful location for exploring Art, Food & Music. Visit with contemporary folk artists showing and selling their original artworks! Throughout the day there will be hands-on traditional craft demonstrations, chef’s cooking demonstrations, local brews & folk music! Explore the AHS & Goizueta Gardens. Free to members. Folk on the Mountain

Folk on the Mtn-FlyerWhat a great setting for a one day show!  Come join us at The Foxfire Museum, in the northeast Georgia mountains.

The show is Saturday ONLY from 9am-5pm.  Come early and see what this amazing place in Rabun county is all about!  The Museum & Heritage Center is  just a two hour drive from Atlanta.  There will be amazing regional handcrafted art for sale.  Come see artists demonstrating and see how they make their work.  Oh and did I mention, there will be music & BBQ!!

What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon, tour the museum, the grounds & cabins, and immerse yourself in Southern Appalachian cultural history!
